In the Gym
Training in the gym has always been a part of my life—it’s in my blood. Growing up in a gym environment, with my parents owning CrossFit Brigade, I developed a deep appreciation for strength training and the discipline it builds. But for me, training isn’t just about lifting weights. I believe in a holistic approach that balances sleep, stress management, nutrition, and recovery to maximize performance and health.
I take a strength and conditioning class every semester to focus on my development as an athlete. On days when I lift after school with my team, I opt for yoga or recovery workouts during class to prioritize balance and long-term progress. The gym is where I not only build strength but also reinforce the habits that allow me to thrive on and off the field.

On the track
Track and field is another passion of mine, and I’m proud to have competed at the varsity level since 8th grade, During my time at Chattanooga Christian School (CCS), I set all-time school records and focused on sprint events that push my speed and power to the max. My primary events include the 100m, 200m, 4x100m relays, and 4x200m relays, though I’ve also taken on the challenge of running 400m distances. For me, track is not only about competition but also about testing my limits and building the explosiveness that fuels my performance on the soccer field.

Looking ahead, I aspire to play for a competitive Division I program where I can contribute on and off the field. Soccer has shaped me into the resilient and determined person I am today, and I’m eager to bring those qualities to the collegiate level. My ultimate goal is to make an impact as a player, pursue academic excellence, and prepare for a career in medicine.
Soccer is where I feel most alive. I love the grind of training, the camaraderie of being on a team, and the joy of pushing myself to be better every day. My goal is to play for a competitive Division I program where I can continue to grow as an athlete and a person. Rather than pursuing a traditional college social life, I envision immersing myself in the athletic community, building friendships with teammates, and cheering on fellow athletes at their games.
Soccer has taught me how to handle adversity, work hard, and lead with positivity. I’m excited to bring these qualities to the collegiate level and pursue academic and athletic excellence as I prepare for a career in medicine.
With a two hour drive to and from practices and home games and league play all over the country, I stay pretty busy. However - YES - I do have a life! LOL! I love school, hanging out with my friends, going to football games and all of the other stuff teenagers like to do. Through sports, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for discipline, focus, and the value of community. I love the structure that athletics bring to my life—early mornings, practice schedules, and the constant drive to improve. These routines have not only shaped me as an athlete but have also helped me thrive academically and personally.
Playing sports has also taught me to handle pressure and rise to challenges. Whether it’s preparing for a championship game or anchoring a relay in track, I’ve learned how to stay calm, trust my training, and give everything I have. These lessons apply far beyond the field and track, building a foundation that I carry into school, relationships, and future goals.
Beyond competing, I’ve developed a deep interest in sports medicine and how the body works. My experiences with physical therapy and recovery after my surgeries gave me a firsthand understanding of how training, recovery, and medical care work together to create peak performance. I’m fascinated by the science behind optimizing human potential and hope to integrate that knowledge into my future studies in biology and premed. My ultimate goal is to combine my passion for sports with a career in medicine, helping others achieve their best both on and off the field.

My soccer journey began at five years old with rec soccer. I tried other activities like dance and gymnastics but they never sparked passion. Soccer is one of the few team sports available for little girls, and my mom, a former high school soccer player, was my inspiration. I admired her so much that I couldn’t wait to follow in her footsteps. What started as a fun weekend activity quickly grew into a lifelong love for the game.

By the time I was seven, I joined Chattanooga Football Club (CFC), where I began developing my skills and learning the fundamentals of the sport. When the Chattanooga Redwolves Academy (CWRA) was established, I transitioned to their program, competing in higher-level games and continuing to grow as a player. Around the same time, I also played middle school soccer for Chattanooga Christian School (CCS), balancing club and school soccer to gain as much experience as possible.
In 8th grade, I was honored to earn a starting spot on CCS’s varsity soccer team—a major milestone in my journey. That season, I was selected for the TSSAA All-Region team and named to Top Drawer Soccer’s US Youth: Mid-South Conference Best XI. Competing against older, more experienced players taught me to be fearless and to embrace every challenge as an opportunity to grow.
That same year, I joined FC Alliance in Knoxville, stepping into the highly competitive ECNL program. Playing in the Ohio Valley Conference pushed me to elevate my game as a defender, and I quickly learned the value of adaptability and resilience. Competing at this level has been an incredible experience, culminating in our team’s championship win last year.
In 9th grade, I continued my varsity career with CCS, helping my team to a 14-4-2 record and a trip to the TSSAA DII AA semifinals. I was proud to be named to the All-Region team for the second year in a row. However, my sophomore year brought both new opportunities and unexpected challenges. I transferred to Baylor School and joined their varsity soccer team, but a torn labrum in my right hip led to the discovery of a femoral head impingement, which required surgery. Knowing the importance of addressing the issue fully, I also underwent a preemptive surgery on my left hip.
Recovering from two surgeries during such a pivotal time in my athletic journey was one of the toughest challenges I’ve faced. Before the surgeries, I was at the top of my game, and dealing with the setbacks, time off, and uncertainty about the future was overwhelming. On the physical side, I had an incredible support system, including my physical therapy team, athletic trainers, strength coaches, and high school team. Even though I wasn’t cleared for contact, I attended every practice and trained as if I could step into a game at any moment. Mentally, the journey was harder. I leaned into prayer, worked with a therapist, and focused on controlling what I could. By shifting my mindset away from lost opportunities and toward building a strong future, I found the strength to persevere.
Now, as a junior at Baylor, I’m proud to say I’ve come back stronger and more determined than ever. This season, I’ve contributed as a forward to an 18-4-2 record and a second consecutive TSSAA DII AA state championship. Whether I’m creating scoring opportunities as a forward for Baylor or anchoring the defense as a player for FC Alliance, I thrive on pushing my limits and giving my all for my teammates.
Through it all, soccer has remained my greatest passion. It’s where I feel most alive—especially during practices and training sessions when the tasks are challenging, and my love for the game pulls me through. Competing on the field is an incredible feeling, but it’s the grind of preparation and the camaraderie with my teammates that make soccer truly special to me.

The Baylor girls soccer team defeated Lipscomb Academy 1-0 on Thursday at GPS to advance to their state title game. The Lady Raiders are the defending state champs.
Hadley Griffith had the only goal of the match, which came in the first half.
Baylor will play Knox Webb for the state championship at 4:30 Friday afternoon at Boyd Buchanan.

The Baylor School girls' soccer team is one win from repeating as TSSAA Division II-AA's state champion.
After scoring in the Lady Red Raiders' 1-0 semifinal victory over Nashville's Lipscomb Academy on Thursday at GPS, junior Hadley Griffith summed up why her team will have that opportunity.

The first half was highly contested, as both teams couldn’t find the net. GPS was mainly in possession and on the attack for the first 15 or so minutes, but once CCS was able to move the ball to their side for the next five minutes, Hadley Griffith was impressive setting up promising opportunities multiple times.
